My name is Patric Greenstrip and I am passionate about renewable energy, electric vehicles and sustainable travel.

Over the last decade I have explored the United Kingdom, Ireland and Europe, including driving to 46 European capitals in a Volkswagen e-UP!* as part of my #EV6060 challenge. (*logistically some capitals such as Rekjavik were completed in a rental electric car ) 

RTWev80 – Around the World in 80 Weeks

My next challenge is #RTWev80, a solo attempt to drive around the world in an electric vehicle.

Starting from London in August 2026, the journey will cover more than 36,000 kilometres across 5 continents over 80 weeks. The next section ( London to China update 08/09/26  ) may be delayed a little longer due to unexpexted health issues i'm sad to say tbh I'm devestated, I'm sorry to you all & feel I have let you all down sorry. I had hoped to get away 17/08/26, 31/08/26 & 30/09/26 but it didn't matter how hard I tried there was always a sledgehammer ready to hit me from nowhere :( although its all up in the air right now so watch this space of a very sressed man who has no idea if he's going or not & time is running out!
